After the Koh-Ed members left Ghana in July, Christoffer has been requested to share the science experiments that the Koh-Ed members shared in 8 different schools in the Volta region. He was called as a key presenter in the science department of the Ghana National Association of Teachers this August.
His goal was to share these experiments with fellow teachers so that this new method of teaching and learning called hands-on science is implemented nationally. This was the first step to fulfilling the aim of HINTEGRAM and Koh-Ed.
He shared the following experiments.
Beer Bottle Thermometer
- Learning the expansion of air depending on the temperature
Michaelscope
- Making a mini microscope using cardboard, a smartphone, and a small lense
Pinhole camera
- See how light travels
Overall, it was a success and Christoffer aims to continue his work in spreading hands-on science.
Here are some photos showing the great team work and collaborations the teachers were able to produce through creative and innovating thinking.
