This is a project organised by the founder and CEO of Koh-Ed, Anna Koh, the founder and president of HINTEGRAM, Christoffer Akpeloo, and the founder of My Favorite Experiments, Michael Gregory.
In February Michael and Christoffer went around different schools in the Volta region to share Michael’s hands-on science experiments. After seeing the impact and success of this trip, Koh-Ed has decided to bring more of its members to Ghana to further introduce and implement hands-on science. The members in Koh-Ed are pupils of Michael Gregory who is a science teacher at École Jeannine Manuel of Paris.
Christoffer, who has always been very passionate towards international exchange and sharing education that will hopefully enhance the education level in Ghana, organised all the logistical details of the trip for the Koh-Ed members. Although it required a lot of work, Christoffer organised it so that the Koh-Ed members could teach at 7 different schools across the Volta region. The Koh-Ed members and Michael worked very hard in Paris to make the lesson plans, practice teaching, and collecting materials as well as laptops.
The Koh-Ed team brought science materials and laptops that had installations of offline wikipedia, offline khan academy, and PHET (which is a virtual science experiment simulating program).
Members of the project: Christoffer Akpeloo, Michael Gregory, Anna Koh, Yohan Koh, Mahé Farion, Alice Decugis, Jean Lee (mother of Anna and Yohan).
